ibota is actively seeking a qualified software/web application developer for a potential full time, permanent position. The quality we maintain in our projects dictate the minimum requirements described below be satisfied by all potential candidates.
Minimum Requirements
- Computer Science Degree (at least B.S.): A Computer Science foundation is essential for strong application design and programming skills required to provide quality software applications to our clients.
- Software Development Life Cycle: At least 2 years of experience with the entire life cycle development process including gathering requirements, generating proposals w/cost estimates, designing, developing, testing, and deploying web applications. You may work on a team of developers and may be communicating w/clients.
- Object-Oriented Programming knowledge: Current projects require object oriented design and programming skills which aid in providing better application design and maintainability.
- Very experienced with ASP, SQL Server, and SQL: For back-end application development and maintenance. Future projects may involve JSP.
- Very experienced with HTML and Javascript: For front-end application development. Future projects may involve XHTML.
Helpful Experience
The following skills are also very desirable:
- Project Management: Knowledge of the project management process and experience with managing projects would be helpful.
- Linux Server Administration: Experience with managing DNS, Sendmail, and Apache on Linux would be a big plus. Also programming experience w/Mason, mod_perl, and shell scripting would be helpful.
- JSP, Java, ASP.NET, XML, XHTML: Experience with these languages would be a plus for future projects.
